Hand carved timber has been at the heart of traditional timber framing for centuries. Long before modern machinery, skilled craftsmen shaped oak using chisels and carving tools to create decorative details that added identity and character to every structure.

At our workshop we continue this heritage craft, specialising in hand carved timber details for bespoke timber frames, oak buildings, doors, windows and architectural joinery. Each carving is produced using traditional chisels and hand tools, ensuring authentic craftsmanship and a finish that cannot be replicated by machine cutting.

Our work draws inspiration from medieval, Norman and Gothic wood carving, styles that have defined historic buildings across Britain for hundreds of years.

One of the greatest advantages of hand carved timber is the ability to create something truly unique. We work closely with each client to design carvings that complement the structure of the building and reflect their own ideas.
